Ali Alraeesi is a Partner at Alsuwaidi & Company. He has significant experience in all major areas of law and practice in the UAE, including Criminal Law, Civil, Commercial Law, and, representing clients’ interests before all levels of the UAE courts.
As an Emirati lawyer, with vast years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution in the UAE, Ali has full rights of audience before the UAE Courts. He represents a range of domestic and international clients which include large conglomerates, small to medium sized companies as well as prominent business individuals in contentious matters.
Ali has developed extensive expertise in handling cases relative to extradition, Interpol, financial crimes, cybercrimes, fraud, forgery, breach of trust, anti-money laundering, bounced cheques, defamation, medical negligence, insurance as well as criminal matters arising from infringing intellectual property rights.
He also represents clients in disputes arising from force majeure events, sudden or unforeseen incidents, and foreign causes beyond the parties’ control. His experience further extends to aviation-related disputes and maritime sectors, including matters involving commercial aviation operations and passenger claims arising from flight disruptions, cancellations, shipping-related disputes concerning cargo delays, port restrictions, trade disruptions, and other exceptional circumstances impacting international transport and logistics or incidents occurring under exceptional circumstances.
Ali has an impressive track record and has successfully defended government and semi-government entities in a number of court cases and achieved settlements. He regularly advises clients in other types of litigation, including intellectual property, corporate and personal status disputes.
