Experience
Throughout her career, Sara has led complex, multi-jurisdictional IP matters, advising clients on the protection, management and commercial value of their intellectual property assets. She specialises in developing tailored brand protection and anti-counterfeiting strategies for international clients, integrating legal and regulatory expertise, market intelligence and commercial considerations to address infringement risks and safeguard brand interests across diverse markets.
A distinguishing aspect of Sara’s professional background is her extensive engagement with government institutions and regulatory authorities across the region. She has cultivated strong working relationships with ministries, intellectual property offices, customs authorities and law enforcement agencies, contributing to regulatory cooperation, institutional capacity building and specialised IP training programmes.
Among her landmark achievements, Sara pioneered sound trademark registration before the UAE Trademark Office, successfully securing the country’s first sound trademark registration for a leading international hospitality group. She also spearheaded a significant brand protection initiative for a globally recognised entertainment company, resulting in Kuwait Customs conducting the country’s first filmed destruction of counterfeit goods.
